Former Love Island star Chris Hughes has shared his joy as one of his horses, named Annie, gave birth to an adorable baby foal.
The reality star-turned sports presenter is big into horse racing and, thus, is into horses too, so, naturally, he was thrilled at the new addition to his life. Posting on Instagram, he shared a snap of chestnut mare, Annie, lying in the hay alongside her newborn baby foal, as he gushed: "The BEST news to wake to! Annie had her first foal this morning, at 5.15am and we couldn’t be happier.
A chestnut colt, and she’s being a good mum! Thank you to everyone at Carisbrooke Stud for keeping her healthy and happy. "A star is born @coralofficial @siclare1 @jonjooneillracing." His followers messaged their congratulations in the comments, with one writing: "We can’t wait to meet baby Annie! She will be an amazing mum." Another said: "Amazing news congratulations to you all," whilst a third commented: "Adorable congratulations," with two red love heart emojis.
Chris also reposted to his Instagram Stories, as he wrote: "Our baby had her baby [love heart] love you girl x". After becoming a household name on the smash-hit third series of Love Island in 2017, in which he was coupled up with Loose Women star Olivia Attwood, Chris has gone on to make a name for himself in the horse racing world, having presented ITV Racing since 2019.
Back in February, Chris worried his fans when he shared that he had been rushed to hospital, which was later revealed to be due to coming down with alcohol hepatitis after a boozy night out. He had gone for a workout and a sauna the day after a big night out, leading to his body becoming severely dehydrated and unable to breakdown his alcohol consumption.
