Tasha Ghouri's dad has jumped in to defend the star after some Love Island fans accused her of copying something Molly-Mae Hague did in the villa. The model and dancer, 23, has regularly seen in the show cuddling up to her teddy bear, who she affectionately calls Flat Ted. The bear even made an appearance in Tasha and Andrew Le Page’s steamy night in the hideaway, after Luca Bish grabbed it and delivered the cuddly toy to just outside the door, shouting out to Andrew and Tasha to let them know. As things started heating up, the camera cheekily flashed to poor Flat Ted lying on the floor by the side of the bed.
Some fans have noted they saw something similar in the 2019 season of Love Island, when Molly-Mae spent plenty of time snuggling not up to her cuddly elephant Ellie-Belly, a move which made her seem endearing to plenty of viewers. Now some have claimed Tasha's toy is a ploy to win over the public – something her dad has strenuously denied.Tasha's dad, Tarek Ghouri, said his daughter "does not copy anyone" as she is "her own natural self".
In reply to an Instagram post, he wrote: "Hi! Tashas Dad here. I can tell you flat ted has been EVERYWHERE with Tash and our family since she was 1. He’s travelled the world and spent every single night with her.
He’s been to these places more than once : America, Mexico, Greece, spain, France, Finland, Sweden, Bulgaria, Balearics. "The list goes on. He’s been in cockpits of planes and even met famous people.
He has provided comfort on those nights as a kid she needed it. He’s given her support when she needed it. "I love flat ted as much as Tash does.Tash does not Copy
