Former Love Island star Kem Cetinay has hit back at claims the show is fixed. Kem, 26, who has spilled some of the Love Island villa secrets including drones and on-site barbers, appeared on the third series back in 2017. He won the show with Amber Davies, before calling it quits in December of the same year.
In an exclusive chat with OK! , he admitted it’s “frustrating” when people ask him if things are set up, as it “couldn’t be less fixed if you wanted it to be”. “The most common question I get asked is, Is it fixed?’” he revealed. “It’s quite frustrating because it’s really not.

That’s one thing that the show does – they keep it as authentic as possible.” He added: “Everyone always seems to forget how good the show is at casting. They hire a lot of people to cast over six months, maybe a year. If they were going to fix it, they’d just pick who they want in there.” When it comes to the advice he would give to this year’s Islanders, Kem says it’s best to go in without a plan.
I’m probably not the best to give advice,” he said. “I didn’t go in there with an idea or a plan. I went in there looking to have a laugh.
"I always just say, enjoy it and relax. You can’t really have a plan. The tiniest thing can happen and it all changes.” Meanwhile, Kem’s best friend and former co-star Chris Hughes has defended contestant Gemma Owen after she has faced criticism online for being "picky".
