Gemma Owen was seen getting acquainted with Brighton surroundings as she met Luca Bish’s family there over the weekend. The 19 year old visited the Bish’s residence in the East Sussex county and was filmed by Luca, 23, becoming friendly with the horses next to the family’s garden during the trip. Gemma was seen in the video which was shared on Instagram Stories happily feeding one of the horses an apple, as Luca captioned: “@gemowen_1 making herself at home”.The visit comes after the Love Island runners-up recently returned from their holiday in the Algarve, Portugal, where Luca met Gemma’s family for the first time.
The pair had been documenting their family trip while over there on social media and appeared very relaxed and comfortable as Luca got to know the Owens. It was reported that the fishmonger also met Gemma’s famous footballer dad Michael Owen for the first time during their time in Portugal too.
According to a source, Gemma and Luca met Michael, 42, as they visited his home shared with his wife Louise in Portugal. The reported insider told The Sun: “Luca has been nervous about meeting Michael which is, of course, totally natural. He adores Gemma and knows that he has to impress.
“They flew out from Gatwick this morning to spend time with him and Gemma’s mum at their private villa in Quinta Do Lago. Luca is a nice lad and Gemma has no doubt he will win him over but of course it is nerve-wracking.” It looks like the couple are getting pretty serious, after hanging out with each other’s families — and it seems they are on their way to making their relationship official.
Luca hinted days ago that he was “on a mission” to make Gemma his girlfriend while out in the Algarve. In a clip uploaded on Instagram Stories,
