Love Island runner up Gemma Owen claims that her father, former footballer Michael Owen has given his approval to boyfriend Luca Bish. The couple met on this year’s Love Island and since leaving the villa have made their relationship official and have continued going from strength to strength. During her time in the villa the 19 year old dressage rider said that Luca, 23, would need to get her family’s seal of approval before they could move further with their relationship, and it seems he’s managed just that.
Speaking to the MailOnline she says: “Luca fits in quite well and he gets on with my siblings, my mum and my dad as well.” Gemma continued: “His family are lovely too – I get on with all of them really well and have a good relationship with his sister.” Gemma and Luca have had a pretty busy time since leaving the villa, with Gemma signing a six-figure-deal with fashion brand PrettyLittleThing, following in the footsteps of 2019 runner Molly-Mae Hague. There’s also been rumours that she will take part in a reality show focusing on the daughters of famous footballers. While she hasn’t confirmed or denied this, Gemma did say: “We do have something very different in the pipeline, which I'm really excited to start working on.
I can't reveal too much.” The Sun reports that the show is being developed by Lime Pictures, the company behind TOWIE and Celebs Go Dating. “This new series is being billed as a one-of-a-kind show which will reveal what it is really like to be the daughter of a famous football star," an insider told the publication. They continued: “Lime are developing the concept now and ITV have shown a real interest in it.
