Love Island's Gemma Owen ‘annoyed’ as Ekin-Su flirts with Davide and likens her to 'little sister'

Love Island's Gemma Owen was left "annoyed" by new arrival Ekin-Su Cülcüloglu who has held nothing back in her pursuit of Davide Sanclimenti. In Thursday's episode viewers watched on as Liam Llewellyn, 22, brought Ekin-Su, 27, and fellow newbie Afia Tonkmor, 25, back to the villa. Both new islanders wasted no time in naming their top three boys with each of them opting for Gemma's partner Davide.
The 19 year old sat awkwardly as Ekin-Su increased the flirtation with Davide by asking to see the Italian in the gym. "Davide, I hope I'll see you in the gym", she said in the gaze of Gemma, before adding: "I want to see if you're all talk or action." To which the 27 year old hinted he'd be up for it with a cheeky wink. Moments earlier Davide had commented on Ekin-Su and Afia's arrival, saying: "Wow, wow, wow - the two new girls are fire." Gemma retreated to the Beach Hut where she confessed that Ekin-Su's comment had "annoyed" her.
She said: "She seems like a lovely girl but yeah, very forward. She's going to go for what she wants. Yeah, yeah that's annoyed me a bit." Later in the episode Ekin-Su annoyed Gemma for a second time when she asked everyone for their ages.
After disclosing that she was a "baby" and was only 19 years old, Ekin-Su stated: "You could be my little sister, that I'd like protect." Again, Gemma didn't take the comment well and later called the Turkish actress "patronising", saying: "I'm sure she didn't mean it in like a bitchy way but I felt like it was a bit patronising." Ekin-Su followed up on her gym request by working out with Davide, to which Gemma admitted: "No, I don't think I can watch this... this is f**king cringe as f**k."
