Love Island's Cara De La Hoyde has said that she watch the series again now that Maya Jama will be "hosting". Cara won the second season of the show in 2016 with her now-husband Nathan Massey. The couple have been together ever since and share two young children, Freddie and Delilah. Speaking to The Sun at the Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile premiere, Cara said: "I'm totally buzzing for Maya to take over.
"I'm going to have to start watching it again now. "I love her on Glow Up too, she's got so much personality. Love Island is going to be epic this winter.
I can't wait." The mother of two previously revealed that she stopped watching the show due to her busy schedule with her children. She said: "It's too much. I don't watch it anymore.
I'm too busy with my kids. I've got two now, got no time for that." Cara's comments come after it was recently revealed that Maya will allegedly be replacing Laura Whitmore as Love Island host. An ITV source told The Sun: "Maya was ITV’s dream option.
She is fun, beautiful and a brilliant presenter. “She was discussed as a possible replacement for Caroline two years ago — but now the time is right." They added: "They’re just in the process of finalising the last few details — but barring any huge surprises she will be announced formally very soon. “They are just dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s.” This came after Laura stepped down from the show, which she hosted since 2020.
