Love Island fans brand recoupling 'awkward' as Deji and Coco 'haven't even spoken'

The Love Island 2022 finalists have arrived back in the UK from Mallorca where they were greeted to an emotional reunion with family and friends. The reunion follows a dramatic final which was broadcast live from the Love Island villa on Monday 1 August. Ekin-Su and Davide were crowned the winners of the series, followed by Gemma and Luca in third place, Dami and Indiyah in second place and Tasha and Andrew in fourth.

Love Island's winning couple Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti certainly looked happy as they headed back to the UK.Taking to her Instagram stories, Ekin-Su shared a video of Davide hugging and kissing her, while she said: "England baby." Davide can also be heard saying: "We're coming," to which Ekin-Su adds: "We're coming to the UK." According to ITV figures, Ekin-Su and Davide won the Love Island final by 63.69% of the final vote. While runners-up Gemma Owen and Luca Bish received 14.47% of votes, Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope had 11.77% of the votes and Tasha and Andrew had 10.07%.

Love Island fans were gutted after Dami Hope and Indiyah Polack finished in third place during the show's finale.The couple, who have been together for the majority of the series, placed third in front of Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page, but sadly didn't make it to the final two. Monday 18 July’s episode of Love Island saw chaos hit the villa, with the much-loved Snog, Marry, Pie challenge.The challenge saw the women choosing one man to snog, one to marry, and one to pie. When it was Paige Thorne’s turn to pick, she snogged Adam Collard, whom she is currently coupled up with, and chose to marry Dami Hope, whom she referred to as her “bestie.” Paige then pied Luca Bish, whom many of the other girls had also chosen to throw their pies at.
