Lorraine Kelly sent home from ITV chat show as co-star steps in

Lorraine Kelly has revealed that she has been sent home early from her ITV chat show due to going down with a "hideous" bug. The presenter, 63, admitted she was "beyond disappointed" as she was looking forward to interviewing Adam Lambert.
Good Morning Britain star Ranvir Singh stepped in last minute to replace Lorraine on Wednesday's show. Taking to Twitter, Lorraine wrote: "When you have to be sent home from work early in the morning because you are suddenly attacked by a hideous bug and were looking forward to interviewing @adamlambert THAT!" The presenter added: "Beyond disappointed but imagine if I had infected him !!!!!!" Lorraine's fans, viewers and celebrity pals were quick to wish the Scottish presenter well after her statement.
Victoria Kennedy, editor of Lorraine, wrote: "Get well soon" with a heart and kiss emoji. Aled Jones put: "Get well soon lovely x." One fan wrote: "Oh no! That IS disappointment indeed.
He is amazing!!! But thank you for protecting @adamlambert and hope you feel better soon." A different viewer put: "Sorry to hear that Lorraine @adamlambert is SO missing out. Get well soon x." While another follower added: "Oh no get well soon @reallorraine Just means you will have to invite @adamlambert back." Ahead of Lorraine starting, GMB star Kate Garraway went to the ITV studio as she quipped: "Now, the jeopardy, has Ranvir made it in?" It then cut to Ranvir, 45, in the Lorraine studio as she admitted she received a call at 7:18am from ITV and she was on the train by 7:30am to replace Lorraine.
She added: "I'm quite proud of myself this morning. Anyway, we want Lorraine to be well - don't we?! But thanks so much to Kate and Ed [Balls] there." The Good Morning Britain star then sent her well wishes
