Loose Women’s Sophie Morgan is currently in hospital after suffering “complications” after a minor surgery. The television presenter took to Instagram to update her fans on the matter, but didn't share the nature of her surgery and the issues she’s now facing. Next to a selfie of her in a hospital bed, Sophie, 37, wrote: “In the hospital atm. Complications post minor op.
Sharing this to highlight that it takes a LOT for disabled ppl to find the energy to fight when their bodies are a battle ground as it is.” Sophie suffered a spinal cord injury at the age of 18 that left her paralysed following a car accident in 2003. As well as issuing an update on her health, Sophie also shared with her 64,000 followers recent steps she’s made in regards to her accessible air travel campaign. “Progress update [plane emoji],” she began.
“Letter to PM from MP about to be circulated for signatures. Aviation experts consulting. Campaign launching next week.
Global partnerships being established”. In the wake of Sophie’s hospital dash, her friends and followers have shared their well wishes for the Loose Women panellist. “You're smashing it.
Remember the rest is part of the work,” penned one person, as another added: “Sending love and strength”. “Hope you are OK and sending you wellwishes,” wrote another. A fourth continued: “Hope you feel better soon! Thank you for all you do for the disabled community”.
Sophie’s campaigning comes after the star was left stranded at Heathrow airport earlier this month after British Airways damaged her wheelchair. The TV presenter explained in a video at the time: "Landed at Heathrow with a bang. "Someone - no one took responsibility - decided to attach my wheelchair and my batec (battery-powered attachment)
