Longtime A&M Executive Bob Garcia Dead at 82

Media chieftains don’t suffer from low self-esteem. One of the most iconic music artists to ever exist has passed away. Little Richard (real name Richard Wayne Penniman) died Saturday, May 9, according to his rep Danny Penniman.

One of the original architects of rock ‘n roll, Little Richard has passed away at age 87. The music icon’s son, Danny Penniman, confirmed the sad news to Rolling Stone, but said the cause of death wasn’t known.

Little Richard, known for his classic songs “Tutti Frutti” and “Good Golly Miss Molly,” has died at the age of 87, Rolling Stone reports.

Andre Harrell, a veteran music executive is best known for signing a young Sean Combs to his first record deal and later went on to head Motown Records, has died. He was 59. The cause of death is as yet unclear.
