Lionsgate announced on Thursday that veteran executives JP Richards and Keri Moore will be joining the studio’s motion picture group as marketing heads. Richards, who will be the president of global marketing, joins the studio from Apple TV+ where he oversaw the marketing campaign for Best Picture Oscar winner “CODA.” Prior to Apple, Richards worked as SVP of Digital Marketing at Universal and Co-President of Global Marketing at Warner Bros.
and New Line Cinema, working on franchises such as “Despicable Me,” “Fast & Furious,” “The Lego Movie” and “It,” among others. Moore, who will be co-president of global marketing, joins from STXfilms where she led the marketing campaign for films like “Hustlers,” “The Upside” and “Bad Moms” as well as marketing campaigns for STX’s corporate and television divisions.
Moore also has tenures at Universal and Warner on her resume, working on campaigns for films like Matt Damon’s “Bourne” trilogy and Guy Ritchie’s “Sherlock Holmes.”The pair will report to Lionsgate motion picture group Vice Chair Adam Fogelson and be responsible for crafting the marketing campaigns for a studio slate in 2023 that includes “John Wick: Chapter 4” and the “Hunger Games” prequel “The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.”“Having worked with both JP and Keri over many years, I know how exceptionally talented and skilled they are as marketers. I also admire and respect them as kind and compassionate people.
