LE SSERAFIM is kicking off their first tour!
The massively popular K-pop girl group successfully kicked off their first tour, the FLAME RISES Tour, over the weekend between August 12 and August 13 at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul, South Korea.
In addition to the performance, the band greeted fans during a livestream of the offline concert.
The show included a hot opening of “The Worlds Is My Oyster” into “FEARLESS,” followed by performances of “The Great Mermaid,” “ANTIFRAGILE”, “Eve, Psyche & The Bluebeard’s wife”, and “UNFORGIVEN (feat. Nile Rodgers)” complete with plenty of choreography.

They also tackled fan-favorites like “No Celestial”, “Blue Flame”, “FEARNOT (Between you, me, and the lamppost)”, “Good Parts (When the quality is bad but I am)” and more.
As an added bonus for their fans, the FEARNOT, LE SSERAFIM debuted unreleased track “We got so much”, and leader KIM CHAEWON shouted out the lyrics “Join my crew” as “Fire in the belly” blasted in the venue.
For yet another surprise, the group’s HUH YUNJIN surprised the fans with her fourth self-produced track, “blessing in disguise,” described as a disco-pop soul/funk track with “an honest and personal message—the gratitude that comes from overcoming difficulties and inconveniences is what empowers us to change ourselves.”

Seoul Metropolitan Police said that, as a result, they had referred 69 people from major exhibition chains and 24 film distribution companies to prosecutors.
Police in South Korea today said that 69 officials from theater chains including CGV, Lotte and Megabox, and from 24 film distributors, have been referred without detention to the prosecutor on charges of obstruction of business, local media reports. This follows an investigation that began in June into suspicious box office numbers. Police claim the accused were involved in fabricating figures to boost film rankings over the past five years.

It opened on Wednesday, earning $8.40 million between Friday and Sunday and fully $11.3 million over its full opening five days, according to data from Kobis, the tracking service operated by the Korean Film Council (Kofic).

BTS rapper Suga has begun preparations for his military enlistment.Today (August 7), Big Hit Music released a statement announcing that the rapper had terminated his enlistment postponement and is currently beginning the enlistment process.Under South Korean law, all able-bodied male citizens are to serve for 18-21 months by the age of 28. The BTS members had previously been granted exemptions to defer their enlistments until they turned 30 after receiving an Order of Cultural Merit in 2018 by then-president Moon Jae-in.“We would like to inform our fans that Suga has initiated the military enlistment process by applying for the termination of his enlistment postponement,” Big Hit Entertainment said in its statement.
