Lauren Goodger is having an autopsy to find out how her baby daughter Lorena died "for her own sanity". Former TOWIE original Lauren, 35, lost her little girl, Lorena, just minutes after giving birth earlier this month after ten doctors tried to save the 9lb tot. She has now revealed Lorena was born with two knots in her cord.
She told The Sun: "I went into hospital thinking I would come home with a baby girl but I came home with nothing." Confirming she's having an autopsy, she continued: "I need to understand medically how she died for my own sanity." As Lauren opened up about the traumatic time, she said she wants to speak out to help others who’ve endured the same loss. “I want to talk about her death to help other parents out there going through this. I want them to know they aren’t alone," she shared.
Just weeks after the tragic incident, Lauren - who shares her one-year-old daughter Larose with her partner Charles Drury - celebrated her daughter Larose’s first birthday as she called the night before an “emotional evening”. She wrote on her Instagram page: "Just wrapped @babylarose.x presents and my Lorena was with me in my heart the whole time with her candle lit... "Very emotional evening for mummy.
But can't wait to see my big girl in the morning". It comes after a source told the Mirror that the reality star's daughter, Larose, has given her a "sense of purpose" after the death of her second child. "Thank God Lauren has had Larose to give her the sense of purpose she needs to carry on through such unimaginable pain," they said.
