She was asked to compete in 2018 but was already booked for the Go-Go’s Broadway musical, “Head Over Heels.” “I will happily go onto the show if they invite me,” Peppermint says. “It is quite expensive and quite an investment, but I do think it could be worth it.” Peppermint will next be seen in “A Transparent Musical,” opening May 20 at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles. She plays Davina, a role originated on the “Transparent” television series by Alexandra Billings. Peppermint recalls having “two-person watch parties” with her music producer when the series first premiered on Amazon in 2014.

KISS’ Paul Stanley clarifies views on gender transition: “I support those struggling with their sexual identity”

KISS frontman Paul Stanley has clarified controversial recent comments he made about gender reassignment surgery in children.Stanley was recently criticised online for a statement in which he labelled children’s gender reassignment surgery “a sad and dangerous fad”.In the statement, he said that “normalising” gender reassignment surgery in children has made it “a sad and dangerous fad,” claiming a “big difference” between “teaching acceptance” and advocating for such surgeries. Now, Stanley has shared a further statement in which he admitted a poor choice of wording in the original post.“While my thoughts were clear, my words clearly were not,” he wrote. “Most importantly and above all else, I support those struggling with their sexual identity while enduring constant hostility and those whose path leads them to reassignment surgery.“It’s hard to fathom the kind of conviction that one must feel to take those steps.

According to KRON4, the festival was about to announce the song of defiance as the festival’s theme and Snider had been set to perform.“Ultimately SF Pride and Dee have mutually agreed to part ways,” the festival said in a statement, adding that Stanley’s tweet was “transphobic.” It added that the organization was “heartbroken and angry.”On Sunday, Stanley tweeted out a lengthy statement about the increasingly controversial topic of youths undergoing sex reassignment.“There is a BIG difference between teaching acceptance and normalizing and even encouraging participation in a lifestyle that confuses young children into questioning their sexual identification as though some sort of game and then parents in some cases allow it.”Stanley’s tweet continued, “There ARE individuals who as adults may decide reassignment is their needed choice but turning this into a game or parents normalizing it as some sort of natural alternative or believing that because a little boy likes to play dress up in his sister’s clothes or a girl in her brother’s, we should lead them steps further down a path that’s far from the innocence of what they are doing.”Snider, who is vocal about his left-wing politics and in 2020 blasted anti-maskers for using his hit song in a video, put his stamp of approval on his fellow rocker’s sentiments, adding,“You know what? There was a time where I ‘felt pretty’ too.

‘The Legend’ Production to Unite Jackie Chan and Stanley Tong for Tenth Movie – Global Bulletin

Patrick Frater Asia Bureau Chief Director Stanley Tong (“Rumble in the Bronx”) is to team up with Jackie Chan for the tenth time on “The Legend.” State media in China report that Chan, who recently reached the top spot in the mainland Chinese box office with aged stuntman comedy “Ride On,” will play an archaeologist on a quest through time and space. With production by Bona Film Group, “The Legend” is pitched as being in the same vein as Tong and Chan’s 2005 effort “The Myth,” which was a fantasy love story. Tong and Chan have worked together on other titles including “Police Story 3,” “Supercop” and “Vanguard.” India’s Jio Studios is backing “Khashaba,” a Marathi-language film on the life of India’s first Olympic medalist Khasaba Dadasaheb. After delivering the sleeper hit Sairat and Fandry, the new film will be directed by Nagraj Manjule. The title is considered as part of Jio Studio’s ambition to deliver more than 100 stories this year. With production to begin shortly, the film will be mounted on a large scale. “Along with entertaining the audience, this film will also introduce the audience to a brave and exceptional athlete who made India proud all over the world,” said Manjule. “Khashaba” will be presented by JioStudios and produced by Aatpat Production, Jyoti Deshpande and Manjule.
