Prince Edward has become more of an important working member of the Royal Family over the years and now in the reign of his older brother King Charles he is a key part of the Firm thanks to his dedication and loyal service.

He went on to launch his own production company in 1993, called Ardent Productions, which made a variety of programmes including several documentaries, the Express reports.
This was when he found himself in a furious row with his eldest brother, as a two-man film crew from Ardent were spotted in the Scottish town of St Andrews in September 2001, where Prince William had started studying.
Back when the now Prince of Wales had started university, privacy agreements were put in place with the press so he and his friends would not be disturbed during his studies.
This meant that paparazzi shots were not to be published with Charles left seething at Edward for seemingly violating this rule by sending a film crew up there.
Royal author Robert Jobson discussed the incident in his 2006 book William's Princess, as Ardent was making huge financial losses every year except one, when Edward didn't take out his salary.
