King Charles gave a surprising six-word reply when a well-wisher told him to 'keep going strong' amid his ongoing cancer treatment, while he was taking a spontaneous stroll after the yearly Easter Sunday worship at Windsor Castle.
The King's most significant public appearance since his cancer revelation took place today [Sunday 31st March] at St George's Chapel, alongside Queen Camilla and a few other Royal family members. After the service, a small group of supportive fans were allowed inside the castle walls, where both Charles and Camilla went to meet them.
As they shook hands with many in the crowd, one person told the King, who is undergoing cancer treatment: "We're all rooting for you, we've all got your back." While walking along the line of fans, another man conveyed a touching message saying: "Happy Easter, Your Majesty. Keep going strong, keep going strong, never give in." Surprisingly, Charles replied with humour joking: "I have to obey my instructions!" Earlier, the King was all smiles as he waved to a small crowd.
He arrived for the service with Camilla, who wore a green coat dress by Anna Valentine and a Philip Treacy hat. Princess Anne and her husband Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, as well as the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, Edward and Sophie, and their son James, the Earl of Wessex, were also present.
The King, who wore a dark coat and blue tie, greeted the public outside St George's Chapel. When someone wished him "Happy Easter", Charles responded warmly: "And to you." He also noticed Anne Daley, 65, from Cardiff, who had travelled by train just to see the King.
She was waving a Welsh flag. Pointing her out to Camilla, he said: "Look, she's from Wales." Ms
