A royal welcome. King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla enjoyed their first joint engagement in Scotland since the official period of mourning Queen Elizabeth II ended.

Privacy is coveted amongst the Royal Family, and new reports out of California reveal Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are angling for a more secluded and private property to live with their two children. According to the Santa Barbara News-Press, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are shopping around in the exclusive Hope Ranch area of Santa Barbara.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to return to Los Angeles, without any peace deal being struck between them and King Charles or Prince William, according to Gayle King. The CBS Mornings host, and friend of the Duchess of Sussex, has been in the UK to cover the Queen’s funeral.

New details of Prince Harry’s time in the U.K. are emerging as the British royal family continues to pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth II after her death.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle sat behind the King and Queen Consort during the funeral service of the late Queen Elizabeth II, putting them front and centre for the Royal event. This seating arrangement is being said to reflect that the couple may be back in the heart of the Royal family.

Giving thanks. King Charles III shared a statement on behalf of himself and Queen Consort Camilla to respond to all the sympathetic messages and support given to the royal family amid Queen Elizabeth II’s death.

King Charles III and his wife, the Queen Consort Camilla, are "deeply touched" by the outpouring of support given to the royal family following the death of Queen Elizabeth II nearly two weeks ago. "Over the last ten days, my wife and I have been so deeply touched by the many messages of condolence and support we have received from this country and across the world," he wrote in a statement released through Buckingham Palace.

A not-so-united front. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not join the royal family to meet with world leaders ahead of Queen Elizabeth II‘s funeral on Sunday, September 18, after seemingly being uninvited.

The Prince Harry and Meghan Markle drama continued into the weekend as it wasn’t clear if the Sussexes would be attending a pre-funeral reception at Buckingham Palace on the eve of Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral.  The Duke and Duchess of Sussex – who settled in California after stepping down as senior royals in 2020 – reportedly initially received an invitation to the Sunday evening reception, but conflicting reports said they were and weren’t expected to attend.  According to the Telegraph, they have now been uninvited because palace officials insisted that the reception hosted by King Charles III and Camilla, the queen consort, is only for working royals, which Harry and Meghan are not. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle returned to the United Kingdom after Queen Elizabeth II’s death on Thursday, to pay tribute to the longest reign in the British Monarchy.  The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have reunited with Prince William and Kate Middleton since the Queen's death, and Harry has been seen with his father, King Charles III as well. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle joined the royal family as Queen Elizabeth II's coffin was received at Buckingham Palace Tuesday after departing the RAF Northolt Airforce station in Ruislip, England.  Queen Elizabeth II died Thursday at the age of 96. She was the longest-reigning monarch in British history, and the second longest-reigning monarch in the history of the world.  The hearse arrived to cheers outside of Buckingham Palace as the streets of London were lined with mourners.

King Charles III is «deeply grateful» for the outpouring of condolences followingthe death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II. The monarch, who officially ascended the British throne on Saturday morning, offered remarks to the Lords and Members of the House of Commons in response to the Addresses of Condolence at Westminster Hall on Monday. «I am deeply grateful for the Addresses of Condolence by the House of Lords and the House of Commons, which so touchingly encompass what our late Sovereign, my beloved mother The Queen, meant to us all.  As Shakespeare says of the earlier Queen Elizabeth, she was 'a pattern to all Princes living,'» he began his remarks. The King drew attention to the tangible gifts marking the Queen's varying Jubilee celebrations — from a Fountain in New Palace Yard, to a Sundial in Old Palace Yard, to a Stained Glass Window. He noted that Parliament's «most generous gift» in honor of her Platinum Jubilee in June had yet to be formally unveiled. «The great bell of Big Ben – one of the most powerful symbols of our nation throughout the world and housed within the Elizabeth Tower also named for my mother’s Diamond Jubilee – will mark the passage of The late Queen’s progress from Buckingham Palace to this Parliament on Wednesday,» he noted. «We gather today in remembrance of the remarkable span of The Queen’s dedicated service to her nations and peoples.  While very young, Her late Majesty pledged herself to serve her country and her people and to maintain the precious principles of constitutional government which lie at the heart of our nation.  This vow she kept with unsurpassed devotion,» Charles continued.

King Charles III gave a moving speech Friday as the new monarch in which he expressed «sorrow» over the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, as well as «love» for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.While speaking about «a time of change» for his family, Charles, 73, carved out space in his speech to send his love to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who infamously stepped away from the royal life in 2020. Nevertheless, Charles acknowledged them after praising his wife Camilla, Queen Consort, and his heir, Prince William, and William's wife, Kate Middleton.«I count on the loving help of my darling wife, Camilla. In recognition of her own loyal public service since our marriage 17 years ago, she becomes my Queen Consort,» Charles said near the end of his speech.
