Kim Kardashian has been criticised for selling a used and faded designer bag for a whopping £24,000. The reality star often posts pre-loved clothes and accessories on the family's website, Kardashian Kloset, where fans can buy them at discounted prices.
Recently, Kim listed an "extremely rare" vintage Hermes Birkin bag from 1992.
The bag, originally black, now appears brown due to sun fading but despite its condition, the bag is up for grabs at a hefty price of £24,000. Her description on the site reads: "EXTREMELY RARE Hermès 1992 Kelly 20 bag from Kim's coveted collection; 'Black' (but appearing espresso brown) suede leather mini Kelly 20 bag with gold logo hardware, gold embossed logo, single handle, and detachable shoulder strap; Twist lock closure." It continues: "Fair condition; suede has sun fading (appears espresso brown), a spot on front, and has minor scratching on metal." Hermes Kelly 20 bags are often resold online on sites such as eBay, 1st Dibs, or Sotheby's.
These bags usually sell in the region of £10,000 ($12,000) to £25,000 ($31,000).
Kim last hit headlines with her items up for sale on Kardashian Kloset back in September. For $9,495 (£7,784), plus shipping, fans could get their hands on Kim's rare limited edition pink Chanel sweater jacket that is adorned with the brand's logo.
Made from a chic bubblegum pink velour material, the garment originated from Karl Lagerfeld's 1996 Chanel runway. At the time, Kardashian Kloset stated that the garment was an "EXTREMELY RARE limited edition".
The outfit is no longer listed on the website, which means somebody likely purchased it.
