on Channel 4 May 6 and 7 and had been acquired by Max for the U.S., is described as featuring “never-seen-before interviews and archive” to examine the actor’s life “from childhood to early success on Broadway and subsequent meteoric rise to stardom.” As per the description: “In 2023 Spacey was acquitted of sexual offenses against four men in a U.K. trial.
This two-part series will investigate Spacey’s conduct and talks to multiple men unconnected to that case about their experiences with Kevin Spacey, almost all of whom have never spoken before.” Variety understands that Spacey had been given a right to reply to the testimonies made in “Spacey Unmasked” by Channel 4. However, on Thursday he posted a statement on X, formerly Twitter, accusing the broadcaster of not giving him enough time to “respond to allegations made against me dating back 48 years.” He also said that he would “not sit back and be attacked by a dying network’s one-side ‘documentary’ about me in their desperate attempt for ratings,” adding that “each time I have been given the time and a proper forum to defend myself, the allegations have failed under scrutiny and I have been exonerated.” Spacey said he would be making a further responses about the docuseries over the weekend.
