Employees of The Kelly Clarkson Show are speaking out about the toxic work environment behind the scenes.
Kelly Clarkson has been hosting the show since 2019 and the show has earned thirteen Daytime Emmy Awards.
But executive producer and showrunner Alex Duda has created such negative work environment through bullying and verbal abuse that employees have suffered physical sickness and their mental health has greatly suffered, according to a new bombshell report.
Keep reading to find out more…“NBC is protecting the show because it’s their new moneymaker, but Kelly has no clue how unhappy her staff is,” one former employee told Rolling Stone.
While Kelly Clarkson has been respectful to everyone she works with, she has been shielded from how employees have been treated by several producers.
“Kelly is fantastic. She is a person who never treats anyone with anything but dignity and is incredibly appreciative,” one former employee said. “I would be shocked if she knew. I’d be floored if she knew the staff wasn’t getting paid for two weeks of Christmas hiatus. The Kelly that I interacted with and that everyone knows would probably be pretty aghast to learn that.”
The work environment starts at the top, and while nobody seems to blame Kelly Clarkson, employees say Alex Duda already had a reputation preceding her that she brought to the show.
“I think Alex Duda’s a monster,” a former employee said. “I have a friend who’s an executive producer who warned me about taking this job because apparently she has done this on every show she’s worked on.”
Employees say HR has been largely unresponsive to complaints about the producers’ behavior.
