Death From Above 1979 have announced a summer 2024 UK tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut album, ‘You’re a Woman, I’m a Machine’.The Canadian dance-punk duo – comprising Jesse F. Keeler and Sebastien Grainger – will kick off the run at the O2 Forum Kentish Town in London on July 15, followed by dates in Manchester (16), Glasgow (17), Leeds (19), Birmingham (20) and Brighton (21).The anniversary shows are set to celebrate 20 years since the release of their 2004 debut, and will follow their appearance at 2000trees at Upcote Farm, near Cheltenham, on July 13.Pre-sales for the UK tour go on sale Wednesday (February 28) from 10am GMT, ahead of the general sale on Friday (March 1) at 10am GMT.

The Wailers announce 40th anniversary ‘Legend’ UK tour, in memory of Bob Marley

The Wailers have announced a UK tour for November 2024, to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the release of the iconic compilation album ‘Legend’.The album, a collection of Bob Marley’s greatest hits, was first released in May 1984 and remains the best-selling reggae album of all time, selling an estimated 25 million copies worldwide.The band, now led by Aston Barrett Jr., will feature the lead vocals of Mitchell Brunings, a Surinamese-Dutch artist that has long been compared to Marley.The Wailers will kick off the tour at NX in Newcastle on November 13, and running through ten more dates, finishing off at Bristol’s O2 Academy on November 25. Death Cab For Cutie and The Postal Service have extended their previously announced 20th-anniversary tour – adding new shows in the UK and Europe to the bill.The extension comes in response to a huge demand from fans, following both bands embarking on their joint 2023 tour.Like with the previous performances, the new dates will see Ben Gibbard – the co-founder of both bands – continue to pull double duty at the live shows, performing ‘Give Up’ and ‘Transatlanticism’ in full alongside his respective bandmates.It comes as both albums have hit their 20-year milestone – with The Postal Service’s RIAA Platinum-certified ‘Give Up’ arriving in February 2003, and Death Cab for Cutie’s fourth studio LP ‘Transatlanticism’ being released just eight months later.Today (February 16), three new shows have been added to the 2024 schedule, including a new date at the OVO Arena in Glasgow on August 23, and a show at the Utilita Arena in Cardiff the following night (24).A post shared by Death Cab for Cutie (@deathcabforcutie)The two new shows come ahead of the bands’ co-headline slots in London on August 25, when they take to the stage at Victoria Park for this year’s instalment of All Points East.The final of the new dates includes a slot at Poble Espanyol in Barcelona on August 27.
