Former Love Island star Kaz Crossley has shut down rumours that she’s dating former Ex On The Beach star Ashley Cain, following his split from longterm partner Safiyya Vorajee. Love Island series four star Kaz, 28, has come under fire from fans of Ashley Cain who have been sending her ‘hate messages’ after she was pictured with former footballer Ashely Cain, 31, and celebrity trainer, ex-Love Islander Michael Griffiths, 30, in the gym.The trio were shooting a photo campaign for a gym clothing brand, but it prompted rumours that Ashley and Kaz were dating.
The image came shortly after Ashley Cain and longterm girlfriend Safiyya, 34, announced that they had split a few months ago via a joint statement on Instagram, following the tragic death of their eight-month-old daughter Azaylia who died from leukaemia in April 2021. After receiving angry messages from Ashley’s fans, Kaz, who has raised thousands of pounds to help an impoverished area in Thailand, took to a Q&A on Instagram to quash rumours that the pair were dating.
In response to a fan asking ‘What’s going on with you and Ashley Cain? X’, Kaz replied saying: “We are friends but after our work shoot the other day I’ve been getting hate messages saying I’m trying to get with him.” She continued: “I’ve always supported his cause and likewise him with my kids in Thailand.” Kaz condemned the trolling she’s received about her friendship with Ashley, saying: “People are so quick to tear each other down it’s sad.” Ashley and Safiyya’s joint statement came via the former footballer’s Instagram Story last week.
