Katie Price is said to be set for a return to I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! for its All Star series, twenty years after originally starring on the show. Back in 2004, the 45 year old mum-of-five charmed the nation as she fell in love with now-ex husband Peter Andre, with whom she shares children Junior, 18, and Princess, 16.
She returned to the jungle in 2009 but left after a week because the public voted her to do every Bushtucker Trial. However, Katie is said to be keen on making her comeback to the show, with ITV bosses reportedly considering her for the special All Star series.
I’m A Celebrity: South Africa - the show's spin-off - looks set to return to our screens in 2024, but the show differs from the main one, as it's pre-recorded and doesn't involve a public vote. A source told The Sun: “Bosses were nervous to cast Katie in the first All Stars as they wanted to play it safe with names who wouldn’t do or say anything too controversial.
But while the show did well enough in the ratings to earn a second run, it didn’t have the same impact as the regular show as a lot of viewers didn’t like the pre-recorded format or lack of public vote. “This time around, they want to make a bigger splash by bringing back some of the bigger, more divisive characters from I’m A Celeb history, and Katie is high on the wish list.
Love her or hate her, people can’t stop talking about her and that’s the kind of draw card the South Africa series was lacking last time around.” OK! has contacted Katie's reps and ITV for comment. It looks like Katie has her sights firmly set on a TV comeback, as in November 2022, she dropped a huge hint that she is re-joining the new series of Celebrity Big Brother.
