Katie Price has spoken out about taking Gareth Gates' virginity while she was six months pregnant with her eldest son, Harvey. The former glamour model discussed the event on the Anything Goes with James English podcast.
When asked about her past with the Pop Idol star, she responded: "Yeah I took his virginity when I was six months pregnant."
Katie, who was known as Jordan back then, defended herself saying: "Well you're asking me! What you looking at? Just because I was pregnant don't say I can't have a boyfriend."
Gareth, who was 17 at the time, had just finished second on Pop Idol in 2002, losing to Will Young. He initially denied Katie's claims to protect his image, but later admitted the truth, not wanting to lie to his fans, reports the Mirror.
In a chat with OK! magazine in 2016, Gareth revealed: "It wasn't too long after that I decided to take a break from the industry. It wasn't the reason I wanted to be a pop star. There are stars out there for the wrong reason. I want to be recognised for my talent."
He further opened up on The Big Reunion show: "I denied the whole Jordan thing because I was 17. I didn't want my family to find out about my sex life. if I hadn't have lied it wouldn't have been a big deal. My friends, family and fans wouldn't have felt as let down, I guess.
"For me, I was very young. I had to say I don't want to have a long-term relationship at this age, so she sold the story and I said it was all lies. The only thing I thought in my head to do was to say it never happened. I felt I had to because I didn't want my family to know about my sex life. I didn't tell anyone, my friends or family, so they all backed me."
Even though things didn't end well with them, Katie tried to get in touch with Gareth,
