Kate Middleton’s uncle Gary Goldsmith has revealed whether or not the Princess of Wales will be watching his time in the Celebrity Big Brother House. On Monday, 4 March, Gary made his grand entrance into the iconic house, where he joined the likes of Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh and Levi Roots for the show’s first series since 2018. But prior to entering the house, Gary, who was recently hit by rumours that he’d pulled out of the show, was quizzed by Celebrity Big Brother hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best as they asked him a series of questions - including if Kate would be at home watching.
“Now, listen, The nation needs to know, will Kate be watching?,” questioned AJ. In response, the 58 year old said: “If she is, it’ll be behind a sofa, I guess.” Gary, who is the younger brother of Kate’s mum Carole Middleton, was then asked by the hosts “which sofa” the Princess of Wales would be on, causing Gary to remain tight-lipped. “It'll be a nice one, in a nice house.
I can guarantee that,” he simply said. Elsewhere in the interview, Gary was asked if viewers at home would learn something new about him following his time on the show. “I'm not that caricature that they see in the press, so hopefully a fun, entertaining, wind up.
I'm a different bloke,” he said. According to reports, Gary’s sister Carole and her husband Michael Middleton “read Gary the riot act” and were “not happy” about his decision to take part in the ITV show. Meanwhile, speaking to OK! , former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond stated how she believed his time on the show was “dangerous” for the Royal Family.
“I cannot imagine why Gary Goldsmith is doing this. Surely he can’t need the money? This is tacky, demeaning and tasteless. Not to mention dangerous,” she
