Kate Middleton and Prince William have been praised by royal fans following an outing with their son Prince Louis, 5. The couple also share children Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight.
The family attended the Christmas Day church service at Sandringham in December, when the Princess of Wales was last seen properly in public prior to her abdominal surgery. However royal watchers spotted one thing, and it made the couple very relatable.
Louis held hands with his cousin Mia Tindall beaming to the crowd as he walked to church. He was dressed in a pair of navy and green tartan trousers, paired with a smart navy coat. Fans were quick to note his trousers were a likely hand-me-down.
The Mirror reports his older brother Prince George wore an identical pair in a portrait with the late Queen Elizabeth II, then-Prince Charles, and Prince William back in 2020.
Fans took to social media upon discovering the similarity according to Hello! as one person said: "Love that Prince Louis wore the tartan trousers from Prince George," while another agreed, adding: "Yes! Love the Wales children in hand me downs. So real."
The encouragement to be sustainable with clothing by Kate Middleton is a testament to her eco-friendly values. The mum-of-three is famous for recycling her outfits by choosing timeless wardrobe staples.

She was dubbed as 'thrifty Kate' in the media for her efforts to reduce, reuse and recycle. In addition to reusing outfits, the Princess of Wales also stays sustainable by wearing vintage pieces.
In a royal first, Kate wore a rented dress to the Earthshot Prize awards ceremony in Boston in December 2022.
