Kate Middleton became part of the Royal Family almost 11 years ago, and can't go anywhere without being recognised these days.
The Duchess of Cambridge first met her future husband Prince William when they were just 19 at the University of St Andrews, and fell fast for each other.
Despite being a couple for five years at the time, Kate went unnoticed at Prince Charles 60th birthday party back in 2008 which is hard to imagine now.
However, the Duke of Edinburgh's royal butler Grant Harrold, told MyLondon he saw Kate at the event standing alone with no one attempting to talk to her.
As reported in The Mirror, the butler said it was funny to think of now because today she would have people "mobbing" her.
He said: "There was a marquee and everything. I remember Kate was standing in the middle on her own. And nobody was talking to her or going near her because they didn’t know who she was or recognise her.
"I went over and chatted to her while we waited for Will to come in and it was quite sweet. But now - could you imagine Kate in the middle of a room and no one speaking to her? It just wouldn’t happen, she’d be mobbed."
Harrold said the memory showed just "how much has changed" since the couple got engaged as now it would be very unlikely for Kate to be standing alone at a party.
Harold spoke about the changes he'd noticed in Kate since his time working with her before she was officially a royal.
"There’s part of her that’s now very royal," he said, "because obviously she’s a future Queen and she’s had to fit into that role."
"She was just great, she was down to earth, she was fun, with a wonderful sense of humour," he continued.
Kate had to make a lot of sacrifices when she met married into the Royal Family - like wild

No Time to Die back in September), but no embellishment could compete with Kate’s jewelry: emerald pieces borrowed from the Queen’s collection. The Duchess’s emerald earrings are from Her Majesty the Queen’s emerald tassel parure. Kate opted for an off-the-shoulder gown and an up-do, to let her jewelry – on loan from the Queen – shine. It seems a lot of thought has gone into the accessories that went into the Duchess’s suitcases ahead of her and Prince William’s high-profile tour. Kate previously touched down in Belize wearing a (also Jenny Packham) with a pair of sapphire drop earrings and a necklace refashioned from Princess Diana’s sapphire suite, a gift to Diana from Saudi Arabia’s royal family on the occasion of her 1981 wedding.Last night’s jewelry choice–earrings and a bracelet from the Queen’s emerald tassel parure–served as a sweet nod to Her Majesty, who celebrates her Platinum Jubilee this year (and makes her in the April issue).

Kate Middleton is clearly channeling her inner future queen in Jamaica! The 40-year-old Duchess of Cambridge continued to impress with her fashion while on a royal tour of the Caribbean with her husband, Prince William, on Wednesday. At a dinner hosted by the Governor General of Jamaica Patrick Allen in King's House, Kate wore a sparkling, off-the-shoulder kelly green Jenny Packham gown and emerald jewelry loaned to her from Queen Elizabeth II herself. Pinned to her dress were the Royal Family Order and the GCVO Star. William went for a traditional look in a black tuxedo. Amid ongoing protests surrounding the royals' visit and outspoken coalitions seeking to make Jamaica a republic and to remove the queen as the head of state, William gave a speech at the dinner, condemning Britain's role in slavery in Jamaica. «I strongly agree with my father, The Prince of Wales, who said in Barbados last year that the appalling atrocity of slavery forever stains our history,» William said of his father, Prince Charles.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's Caribbean tour is well underway, with the couple having landed in Jamaica, their second stop, on 22 March. Kate, 40, and Prince William, 39, spent three nights in Belize before heading off to Jamaica, and are set to finish their tour with a trip to the Bahamas.
