Kate Garraway supported by Good Morning Britain co-stars after finding positive in 'challenging few weeks'

Kate Garraway has been supported by her Good Morning Britain co-stars after sharing a positive experience she had amidst a 'challenging few weeks'. The presenter is often open and honest about the highs and lows of her life following her husband's life-changing ill health.
Derek Draper, a former Labour lobbyist, caught coronavirus in March 2020 and was taken to hospital where he was put in an induced coma. Kate has previously told how Covid 'wreaked havoc' on Derek's body and he spent just over a year in hospital before returning home in April 2021, where he has needed round-the-clock care ever since.
Kate shared earlier this year how Derek now urgently needs rehab to help him breathe properly again and added: "We keep having emergency setbacks and he’s had to be rushed back into hospital so many times, the fear of him dying has never left us. The unpredictability of his day-to-day condition means we’re living on a rollercoaster."

In her latest social media post, Kate has opened up about how she tries to find love in 'the most unexpected of places' and told how a recent work trip provided just that. "It’s been a challenging few weeks (after a challenging few years !) & at times I think we’ve all looked around and felt the world is on fire, collapsing & blea," Kate started to share.
"In my book #strengthoflove ( thank you so much for all your lovely messages about it by the way) I talk a lot about love being found in the most unexpected of places to give you strength when you most need it. And these two Purity & Wendy from @emirates epitomise
