It is now being reported that Derek was taken dangerously ill last Monday after suffering a 'massive heart attack', according to the Mirror. "Everyone is praying for a miracle," a source has said.

Kate has reportedly cancelled all upcoming TV and radio work commitments in order to be at her husband's bedside - including taking a leave of absence from ITV programme Good Morning Britain. She is 'by his side 24 hours a day'.
The source went on to tell The Sun: "It was sudden and a shock as he had been doing so well and was in great spirits, looking forward to Christmas at home with the family. This setback has been a huge blow for his family and all the people caring for him."
