Prince William and Kate Middleton are on a mission to make "the public to relate to them" as they want to be "more reachable" that the late Queen Elizabeth II, a body language expert has claimed. Over the weekend, William, 40, and his wife Kate, 41, shared a video featuring behind-the-scenes clips of them preparing for the coronation of King Charles III earlier this month.
And now, body language expert Darren Stanton has shared his analysis of the couple, stating they don't want to be "on a pedestal." "We never would have seen this same openness with the public from William and Kate in Queen Elizabeth’s day, because of the strict protocols she adhered to," Darren said. "It was very much us and them when it came to the Royals.
Although the Queen met hundreds and thousands of people during her reign, there was always this distance that was kept between the monarchy and the public. "This video reinforces the fact that Kate and William don’t want to be this couple that are seen on a pedestal and who are unreachable and untouchable.
Instead, they want the general public to relate to them." He continued to say on behalf of Spin Genie: "We also saw some nice moments of affection between the two of them, dressed in normal clothing and going about their usual family life." William and Kate's behind-the-scenes video shows some scenic pictures of London and Kensington Palace before cutting to the inside of a very regal looking room. Kate and William's adorable youngest son, Prince Louis, five, is the first of the family to enter the clip, as he walked into the room looking pensive.
