Several Yeezy employees are calling out Kanye West for his allegedly toxic workplace environment!
A new report published by Rolling Stone on Wednesday detailed what it was like working for the 45-year-old artist under his fashion brand Yeezy. What may have seemed like a dream job for some fans was a nightmare for others, so claims several former employees who allege the company had an “abusive” workplace environment and “cult-like atmosphere.” As an Adidas Yeezy senior team member explained:
One designer also said to the publication:
Another added:
Well, if you’ve seen what’s gone down on his social media in the past year alone, you can probably get a clear picture of how he was running Yeezy then…

According to the report, staff members were expected to work long hours – normally between 12-to-15 hour days – and deal with Kanye’s eccentricities and sudden demands, which would include suddenly packing and moving offices with little warning. A former employee who worked for the brand in 2020 shared:
An ex-contractor said everyone felt like Kanye “expects them to work like he works,” adding:
While that type of hustle culture may have been deemed inspirational years ago, these days people are more tuned in to the importance of work-life balance and its impact on overall health. Someone else mentioned:
Adding to the high demands, Rolling Stone noted that random layoffs and “abrupt firings were the norm” in the office, leaving many feeling like their jobs were always in danger since someone could be fired for something as harmless as wearing the wrong color. Doing some digging. Kim Kardashian is “looking into” claims that ex-husband Kanye West showed his former employees risqué photos of her while working with Adidas, a source exclusively tells Us Weekly.
Adidas has confirmed that it will launch an investigation into allegations of misconduct that have been made against Kanye West by people who worked on the rapper’s long-running Yeezy joint venture with the sportswear brand. That joint venture was cancelled recently when West’s flurry of controversial interviews and statements made the alliance untenable, but – former employees say – Adidas bosses were previously willing to turn a blind eye to their superstar business partner’s bad behaviour. Those former employees have expressed their grievances in a letter to Adidas bosses which has been seen by Rolling Stone. In it they say that Adidas staff members who came into contact with West via the Yeezy JV had to deal with “years of verbal abuse, vulgar tirades and bullying attacks”, but management – although aware of this behaviour – “turned their moral compass off” and ignored that conduct, because, you know, that’s just “Kanye being Kanye”.Rolling Stone reports: “Behind the scenes, [West] did more than test the boundaries of professionalism. Former Yeezy and Adidas staffers and creative collaborators claim that he played pornography to Yeezy staff in meetings; discussed porn and showed an intimate photograph of Kim Kardashian in job interviews; and showed an explicit video and photos of Kardashian as well as his own sex tapes to Yeezy team members”.Meanwhile, the letter from the former employees states: “[West] has, in years past, exploded at women in the room with offensive remarks, and would resort to sexually disturbing references when providing design feedback.
It looks like Kanye West is trying to offload a lot of his old merchandise… and maybe raise some money? While, intentionally or not, decreasing the value of the brands who’ve burned him??
Kanye West, what the f**k??
Former Yeezy employees wrote an open letter to Adidas accusing Kanye West of mistreatment as the rapper continues to spark controversy.
Kanye West has apologised for hurting his “people” by falsely claiming George Floyd died from the drug fentanyl. The 45-year-old rapper had made the claim despite George being murdered by a police officer suffocating him by placing a knee on his neck for more than nine minutes. He backtracked on his remarks to paparazzi on Friday night (29.
Kanye West is at it again.
Adidas is moving forward with selling Yeezy product designs — just not under Kanye West‘s brand name.
Sending a message? Fans believe Harry Styles took a stand against Adidas prior to the sportswear giant cutting ties with Kanye West following the rapper’s anti-Semitic remarks.
As expected, Adidas yesterday formally cut its ties with Kanye West, announcing it was ending production of all the Yeezy branded products it has made via its partnership with the rapper.West’s relationships with some of his business partners in the fashion domain were already deteriorating before his recent spate of controversial and anti-semitic statements.Adidas, which has been working with West since 2013 – with the first trainers under the Adidas Yeezy brand being launched in 2015 – announced it was reviewing its long-standing partnership with the rapper earlier this month. The sportswear firm’s current deal with West was reportedly due to run through to 2026, but yesterday it confirmed it was terminating the partnership with immediate effect. This follows West’s recent claim in a controversial Drink Champs interview that “I can say antisemitic things and Adidas can’t drop me”.“Adidas does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech”, the company said in a statement.
