Josie Gibson has shared her secrets to a long and successful TV career just weeks after Phillip Schofield cut ties with ITV.
The disgraced presenter, 61, stepped down from This Morning before he admitted to having an affair with a younger male colleague and lying about it to ITV bosses and those close to him.
Since stepping down, numerous claims have been made against Phillip and ITV as a whole as the broadcaster is conducting an external review into the matter.
Josie shot to fame on Big Brother in 2010 before becoming a regular segment presenter for This Morning. Sharing her advice for those looking to make it in TV, she told OK! Magazine: “Always be polite to everybody."
She continued: “Be even more polite to the people at the bottom, because the ones who are making your tea and coffee, one day they will be your editors and they will be your producers.”
Josie also touched on her love for strong female friendships as she maintains close to her This Morning co-stars Holly Willoughby and Alison Hammond. The presenter joined Holly for her first show back on This Morning following Phillip's departure and gave her a big hug after her statement on the scandal.
“I was raised by strong women and I’ve always had them in my life,” she told the publication.
“I’m a girls’ girl – I love female company and I think the power of a woman is so special.
“I love to see women, and my friends, do well and really try and get the results they deserve. Friends are always there for each other, they’re there in your darkest times and they always put a smile back on your face. Friendship is so important to me.”
Josie's advice comes after Phillip was accused of contributing to a toxic work environment on This Morning. ITV whistle-blowers have come forward
