Jonnie Irwin's fans beg him to 'take care' as he reveals painful injury after nasty fall

Fans of TV star Jonnie Irwin have urged the presenter to please “take care” after he revealed he had suffered a nasty fall on Monday, resulting in a very painful injury. The 49 year old star, who is currently living with a terminal lung cancer diagnosis, took to Instagram to reveal the aftermath of the fall, which left him with a very painful ankle injury. In a snap shared to the social media platform, the Channel 4 presenter could be seen with an ice pack on his ankle as he rested his poorly foot following the incident.
Alongside the image, Jonnie captioned the post: “When you forget the builder has removed your door step…” in a subtle nod to how he had acquired the injury. Understandably, fans were immediately concerned for the star’s wellbeing, with many taking to the comments section of his post to share their well wishes and urge him to look after himself. “Oh love please take care of yourself,” begged one fan.
While a second follower also echoed the sentiment by writing: “Ouch! Hope your ankle feels better soon.” Before a third added: “Oh no! Hope your OK. Plenty of R.I.C.E. Rest, ice, compression & elevation.Take it easy.” Thankfully, the injury occurred after Jonnie had been able to take his son to nursery for the final time on Monday - something which proved to be an especially poignant milestone for the star.
