He was first diagnosed in 2020 and was initially given just six months to live, but has outlived doctor’s predictions with the help of medication, radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
And the property expert has continued with treatment, after sharing that the cancer had spread to his brain, telling fans that he has begun Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, which is a treatment in which the patient is given pure oxygen to breathe. Posting to his Instagram story Jonnie, 49, shared a photo of the zip-up portable chamber he was using after walking to the treatment centre in Newcastle.
Captioning the snap, the dad-of-three wrote: "And at the end of this walk…is this…hyperbaric oxygen therapy." Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is believed to help make cancer cells easier to kill with treatments like chemotherapy and radiation, and to help activate the process of healing within a patient's body. It comes after Jonnie revealed he's "trying to starve the tumour" by following the words of author, and his mentor Jane Mclelland.
After fans became concerned that he was starving himself, Jonnie shared a picture of his dinner on his Instagram, which appeared to consist of just a single prawn skewer in some sauce and half a lemon. He explained: “For those who are worried that I’m starving myself don’t worry.
