John Cena has broken a record within the Make-A-Wish foundation and officially granted over 650 wishes. The 45-year-old professional wrestler, who became the first celebrity to hit this milestone, has become known for his work helping children between the ages of two and 18 through the organisation, fulfilling the wishes of those with critical illnesses. The World Wrestling Entertainment, (WWE), celebrated Cena’s accomplishment on Twitter and shared a photo of Cena hugging a fan.

In a video, shared by the WWE on YouTube, the 45-year-old actor met 19-year-old Misha Rohozhyn, a Ukrainian refugee who experience confusion when he and his mother had to leave their home in Mariupol and relocate, due to Russia’s invasion. Misha, who has Down Syndrome and is non-verbal, was told by his mother that they were going to find John Cena, in order to calm him down during their trip to Europe. When the WWE champion heard their story, he decided to use his time off in Europe to his pay one of his biggest fans a visit.

The teen, who is non-verbal, was told by his mother that the family was traveling for a face-to-face meeting with wrestling great and film/TV star John Cena, Misha’s personal hero. The tactic was used to calm the aggitated teen, but what happened next was straight out of Hollywood.

Ukrainian teenager Misha Rohozhyn got the surprise of his life over the weekend.

John Cena has met a Ukrainian teenager with Down's syndrome who used him as inspiration while fleeing the country. The WWE legend travelled to the Netherlands to meet 19-year-old fan Misha Rohozhyn, who fled from Mariupol in March with his family amid the Russian invasion. During their journey, Misha's mother Liana motivated her son with a "motivational fantasy" that the Hollywood star would greet them at the end of their travels, and he was upset Cena wasn't there when they arrived in May.

He’s back! John Cena announced that he would be celebrating his 20-year anniversary with WWE by returning for an episode of the Monday Night Show later this month.
