Jeremy Renner has revealed a major step in his career after a terrible accident nearly took his life: He’s headed back to the set of “Mayor of Kingstown” to film the third season. Renner was involved in a near-fatal accident on Jan. 1, 2023, after saving his nephew from being hit by a snowplow.
The actor was run over by his own Sno-Cat, which weighs at least 14,330 pounds, putting Renner in the hospital with blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries. As Renner continues to recover, he spoke with Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper during their CNN New Year’s Eve special about his physical therapy, as well as his upcoming album. “We have a lot to celebrate this year,” Renner said.
“I’m so blessed that I had so many things to live for. I have a giant family, a 10-year-old daughter. I would have disappointed and messed up a lot of people’s lives if I passed.
There’s a lot for me to fight for. Recovery is a one-way road in my mind. I still work hard every day.” Renner was also asked about going back to work on the third season of “Kingstown.” “It’s been a wonderfully busy year,” he said.
“I think I’m ready and I think I’m strong enough. I literally go back in a week.” The “Hawkeye” actor has been active in keeping his fans updated on his recovery.
