William Earl “Vanderpump Rules” fans were intrigued to see married reality stars Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright appear together on the March 22 episode of “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen,” as the pair was fired from “Rules” in Dec. 2020. Although they were invited primarily to sound off on the Scandoval, one curious fan got the couple to comment on an alleged business deal gone south involving Hollywood producer and former “Rules” cast member Randall Emmett. During “Happens,” a fan asked Taylor, “Lala [Kent, a ‘Rules’ cast member who was previously in a relationship with Emmett] recently said that Randall owes you a lot of money. So how much does he owe you, and what’s your relationship like with him now?”

A “Gattaca” TV series is in the works at Showtime, according to multiple media reports.Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa are reportedly in talks to return to the network to reboot the 1997 flick after co-creating Showtime’s “Homeland,” which ran for for eight seasons and produced nearly 100 episodes.Based off the Andrew Niccol-written and direct film starring Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman, “Gattaca” centers on a dystopian near future in which society is guided by eugenics as each potential child is planned to receive the most desirable traits of their parents. Showtime did not immediately respond to TheWrap’s request for comment.While details regarding the series, which hails from Sony Pictures Television, are still being finalized, Gordon and Gansa are said to be set to write the series alongside Craig Borten.

Joe Otterson TV Reporter A series adaptation of “Gattaca” is in development at Showtime, Variety has learned from sources. Exact plot details on the series are still under wraps, but sources say that Alex Gansa is attached to serve as showrunner and executive producer, with Gansa’s partner Howard Gordon also executive producing. They co-created the show with Craig Borten, who also executive produces. Sony Pictures Television will produce, with Gansa and Gordon currently under an overall deal at independent studio. Sources stress that deals for the project are not yet closed. Showtime and Sony declined to comment.

There was great rejoicing from Keanu Reeves’ fans when Hulu announced the “John Wick” star had signed on to star in “The Devil in the White City”, a limited series from producers Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio that would have been Reeves’ first major television role, with Todd Field (“TÁR”) on board to direct.

No casting was announced for the title role of Dr. H.

Joe Otterson TV Reporter The series adaptation of “The Devil in the White City” is no longer moving forward at Hulu, Variety has learned. The series had originally been ordered to series at the streamer in August 2022 after originally being put into development there in 2019. At the time it was ordered, Keanu Reeves was attached to star in one of the lead roles with Todd Field onboard to direct. However, Variety exclusively reported that Field had dropped out of the show in October, with Reeves also exiting. According to sources, Reeves had signed on to the series due in part to Field’s involvement, but left the show once Field did.

The devil was in the details, apparently: Hulu has decided not to move ahead with Devil in the White City.

He was 79. Pitkethly is best known for “American Cinema” (1995), a 10-part, $7 million series for PBS, BBC and Canal Plus covering U.S. filmmaking that he produced, co-wrote and co-directed. It examined film genres, the rise and fall of the studio system, the creation of stars and other aspects of American movies through interviews with Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese, Clint Eastwood, Sydney Pollack, George Lucas, Quentin Tarantino, Spike Lee, Joel Coen and other major players. John Lithgow served as host; Matthew Modine, Kathleen Turner and Cliff Robertson narrated.
