new interview with Variety published on Tuesday, Lopez, 54, said that the Emmy-winning “The Bear” star, 28, “Was mortified and very sweet” when she apologized for her earlier comments.The two filmed the Feb. 3 episode of “Saturday Night Live” together, where Edebiri hosted, and Lopez was the musical guest.
“She came to my dressing room and apologized with tears in her eyes, saying how terrible it was that she had said those things,” Lopez said of the moment that occurred while they were on “SNL” earlier in the month. “She felt really badly and loved my performance because we had just done my soundcheck and she actually got to hear me perform.
She was just like, ‘I’m so f–king sorry, it was so awful of me.’”The resurfaced comments were from a 2020 “Scam Goddess” podcast episode. In the episode, Edebiri said that J.Lo’s career is one long scam.
“I think she thinks that she’s still good, even though she’s not singing for most of these songs…A lot of the write-ups of the songs will be like, ‘J.Lo didn’t have time to make it to the studio.’ Like, ‘J.Lo was busy.’ Doing what?
