In a new interview, the 73-year-old comedian and former late-night talk show host revealed the one and only thing that would make him retire.

While speaking with Page Six, Jay said that he won’t stop working “unless I have a stroke.”
“Then you slow down,” Jay explained. “That’s when you retire — when you have your stroke.”
Back in November 2022, Jay was hospitalized after a fire in his garage, where he sustained serious burn injuries to his neck, chest, hands, and arm and had to undergo reconstructive surgeries.
A few months later in January, Jay got “knocked off” his motorcycle, leaving him with “a broken collarbone,” “two broken ribs,” and “two cracked kneecaps.”
