Janey Godley has urged fans to hold "loved ones close" this Christmas, as she prepares to undergo more chemotherapy.
The Scots comedian said she "can't wait" to get going on her new round of treatment to ensure she's "fit and strong enough" for her Not Dead Yet Tour in 2023, which will be her last live set of gigs.
Janey confirmed last week her cancer has returned and recent test had shown signs of the disease in her abdomen, after being given the all clear in June.
Sharing an update to fans on Instagram today, the star said: "Hi everyone, Janey here, I hope you're well and I hope you're having a good day. I'm getting ready for Christmas and I can't wait. I can't wait to get these chemo sessions in so I can get fit and strong for my tour in February and March.
"Yeah it's not the news I wanted that the cancer is back but the news that I'm getting more chemo and more treatment and the Beatson is going to support me and getting this - what will be my last - comedy tour out there.
"I'm super excited, I just wanted to come online today and say Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to all the people who have been holding me up and supporting me, if love and support was a cancer cure I would have been cured ages ago."
She added: "You have all been amazing and of course my family and my close pals. Have a lovely Christmas and a good New Year and hold your loved ones close - Can't wait to see you in February and March - I just can't wait to feel normal again and get back on stage."
