Janey Godley says Nicola Sturgeon has 'earned the rest' as the First Minister is set to resign.
The Scots comedian became well known in lockdown for her voiceovers of the First Minister during the coronavirus daily briefings.
And as the news emerged that Sturgeon will hold a press conference today at 11am at Bute House - it is not clear when she intends to formally leave office.
Janey took to Twitter to give a nod to the sketches involving the First Minister, tweeting: "Frank is getting the door for Nicola for the last time today, hope you have a good time down at the caravan - you’ve earned the rest."
The caravan comment are a reference to Janey's famous voiceovers as the comic often spoke about her dream to holiday in Scotland when the travel restrictions were changing during lockdown.
Janey actually went on to win Best Online Content at the Scottish Comedy Awards in 2020 for her First Minister videos.
Ms Sturgeon has faced criticism from some in her party after the Supreme Court last year rejected her plan to hold a second referendum on Scottish independence.
She took on the top job in Scottish politics in September 2014 after her predecessor Alex Salmond resigned.
She was reelected as First Minister following another resounding Holyrood election victory for the SNP in 2021.
