Jacques O'Neill has claimed that Love Island producers interfered during Casa Amor, to convince him to crack on with other girls. The ex-rugby player, 23, said that the bosses 'got into my head' during his time in the villa this summer. Jacques quit Love Island after Casa Amor, but not before receiving massive backlash for his antics with the new girls, while being coupled up with Paige Thorne.
Jacques' family revealed during his time in the villa that he had been diagnosed with ADHD at the age of nine and sometimes struggled to deal with emotional situations. But now the reality star has blamed his actions on the producers, claiming they told him he 'looked silly' when he tried to stay loyal to Paige. Speaking on Scott Thomas' Learning As I Go podcast, Jacques explained: 'Luca slept outside the first night and I was prepared to do that as well.
Because I didn’t want Luca being by himself and I was like it's respectful anyway. 'And what really got into my head, because the first day the girls got in, people have said this, I was like a live switch, I literally changed. ' He declared: 'And I’m so glad I’m being able to speak about it because I want people to know.
'I followed Luca out the first night, we went out together. They [producers] come on the tannoy, and they go "Jacques you look silly". 'I’m like "pardon, what do you mean I look silly?" I started speaking into my mic "what do you mean? Come on tell me?" And they say "no you’re fine, we don’t mean that go to bed".
