Good Morning Britain viewers were not happy and criticised ITV for debating the shocking revelations from Omid Scobie's new book, Endgame.
The show's hosts, Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley discussed the explosive claims from the book about the Royal Family. The book was recently pulled from shelves in Holland as it seemed to reveal the identity of a "royal racist". In 2021, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex accused an unnamed senior Royal of expressing concern over their child's skin colour in a tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Now, it seems the name has been leaked after a review copy of the book sent to Dutch journalists appeared to contain the identity of the alleged Royal. The first hour of Good Morning Britain focused on reactions to this Royal drama, with Dutch journalist Rick Evers, who shared a screenshot of the extract revealing the royal's name, joining via video link. Rick seemed surprised by the attention his screenshot received, leading Richard to remind him that many people worldwide care about the British Royal family and jokingly warned Rick against making fun of the monarchy.
Rick also revealed to Susanna and Richard that a second name is alluded to in Scobie's bombshell book, with the presenters seemingly stunned to learn the Dutch translation could cause even more drama. However, those watching at home were less than impressed.
Taking to social media, Good Morning Britain viewers slammed the show and begged ITV bosses to change the subject. "ITV and GMB show how out of touch they are if they think any of the general public give a single f*** about the royal family, we all have real issues to worry about.
