ITV This Morning's Holly Willoughby defended by fans as star lets son, 8, cut her hair

Fans of ITV This Morning host Holly Willoughby reckon she’s been “brave” for letting her young son loose on her hairstyle.

The presenter shared a video on her Instagram page of eight-year-old Cheer holding a pair of hairdressing scissors as he set about chopping her long locks.

Holly’s post featured the caption: “Chester decided it was time...when your 8-year-old gets hold of the scissors". And in the clip, the star could be heard saying to Chester: "Are you ready?”.

Holly, as writes MEN, then made a noise of concern as she said nervously: "Make sure it's nice and straight!"

Holly, who made her first appearance on This Morning this year on Monday morning when she returned to work after the Christmas break, was dubbed “brave” by many fans thanks to her post.

And the upload also caught the attention of some well-known pals of Holly’s, with model Abbey Clancy replying in surprise: "Omg holl !!!!!" This Morning's Dr Zoe replied: " Go Chester #brave ." While Holly's sister, Kelly, also joked: " Yes Chester Scissorhands ."

But others were quick to defend Holly after her post appeared to cause a bit of an outcry. @sharronj16 said: "It’s only the extensions that he’s cutting … good practise @hollywilloughby." @ionaxmc wrote: "Looks like it’s her extension that are being cut … not her own hair..."
