Alison Hammond has said 'farewell' to fans as the much-loved star announced a career break. It comes as the This Morning regular announced she will be absent for the next month.
The 49-year-old usually presents the flagship ITV show on a Friday slot alongside Dermot O'Leary. However she was last seen presenting the show on March 1 with viewers guessing what's been going on, reports Manchester Evening News.
Alison shared a snap alongside Paddy McGuinness on the This Morning sofa as he filled in for her co-star. She wrote to her fans on Instagram: "Well that was fun @mcguinness.paddy until next time @thismorning...
"I’m taking this month off @thismorning and lovely @josiegibson85 will be filling in for me with @dermotoleary. Gonna have some time off to move into my new house and chill with my son. See you in April love ya babs."
Fans soon rushed to the post to respond to the news, as one quipped: "Will miss you. Love your energy on this morning. You always make me chuckle."
Another said: "Gonna miss youuu have a good time of well deserved time of love you. Good luck with ur new house babs." Whilst a third wrote: "Enjoy a well earned break bab! You’re the hardest working woman on telly!"
