The Masked Singer’s Chicken Caeser has been unveiled following a tense battle in the hit ITV show, which kicked off last weekend. During the second episode of the popular ITV series, six new characters were introduced to viewers at home, but sadly it was actor and comedian Alexander Armstrong that was forced to leave the show after his performance as Chicken Caesar failed to impress the judges.
54 year old Alexander, who is best known for hosting BBC quiz show Pointless, faced off against rival Piranha on Saturday night’s show, but sadly ended up in the bottom three thanks to the audience’s votes. As one of the lowest scorers alongside Owl and Bubble Tea, the judging panel then had to make the difficult decision to decide which stars could continue, and unfortunately for Chicken Caesar this week he was sadly eliminated.
Following the announcement that he would be leaving the show, judges Davina McCall , Rita Ora , Jonathan Ross and Mo Gilligan were all blindsided as Chicken Caesar removed his mask and revealed his true identity. For the competition, Alexander had taken on the guise of Chicken Caesar a rooster dressed in the style of a Roman emperor.
In his introductory video before his performance he spoke with a Geordie accent and declared himself to be a “salad of great ambition” in a clear hint to who lay beneath the costume. In a further clue, a shadow could be seen behind Chicken Caesar in the shape of a Brit Award, something which was a subtle nod towards Alexander’s former role presenting the Classical Brit Awards.
During his appearance on the show, Chicken Caesar performed Under the Bridge by the Red Hot Chili Peppers - and it’s safe to say the BBC star certainly impressed fans at home with his voice. Following
