Gino D'Acampo is gearing up to resume filming his ITV show, which was previously marred by on-set mishaps.
The culinary star's travel programme, Emissions Impossible, is making a comeback despite its cancellation six months prior due to a series of unfortunate events, including a toboggan accident and long production days in Austria that left Gino with a fever. Despite these setbacks, it seems the show has been given another chance, with production slated to recommence in the Alps shortly.
A TV source told The Sun: "It's quite unusual for a show to be shelved quite so spectacularly, only to be brought back months later. Usually they end up getting written off completely.” The source continued: “But ITV clearly felt like this was worth going the extra mile for.
Emissions Impossible was all about being greener when travelling. Ironically, by the time they've finished filming, all the presenters, producers and crew will have flown from Britain into Europe - and back again - twice." The last filming stint in October didn't go as planned, leaving the future of the six-part series, which was set to explore the Croatian islands, up in the air.
Now, it seems plans for a second series might just take flight after all.
TV chef Gino D'Acampo has also made some rather surprising confessions about his feelings towards parenting, despite being a father of three. The Italian cook, who is dad to Luciano, 22, Rocco, 19, and Mia, 12, with his wife Jessica, whom he married in 2002, has been quite candid about his lack of enthusiasm for typical children's activities.
