Love Island star Callum Jones said four small words in the latest episode of the ITV show, which sent fans into a frenzy online. It came after a series of calls from home where the Islanders learned the public's true opinion on exes Molly Smith and Callum. Molly's relationship with ex Callum was mentioned several times in the calls during Thursday's instalment, 15 February, with the Islanders' loved ones explaining that viewers are rooting for the former couple to reunite.
The pair dated for over three years but split up in September 2023, before both entering the All Stars villa in January. The news quickly made its way around the villa with other islanders pulling Molly and Callum separately aside to find out the gossip. Callum was seen discussing his relationship with Molly while sat with his new partner Jess and cleared up any confusion.
But then Callum simply said on Friday's show: "That chapter is done", which led to fans claiming they were "heartbroken" online. One person took to X, formally known as Twitter, and said: "'I know for a fact that chapter is done' Little does Callum know those words have shattered the ENTIRE nations hopes and dreams", while another fan added: "Come on Callum stop breaking our hearts". A third penned: "Callum stop this WE WANT YOU GUYS BACK TOGETHER", while another added: "What do you mean you won’t get back together Callum? Do it for the nation!" Tom, 24, who is coupled up with Molly, was left fuming by the speculation, especially as Molly failed to tell him about it.
