I’m A Celebrity has come to an end after three weeks of jungle action, with a new king of the jungle being crowned live on Sunday (10 December) night. This year, it was former Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson who took the crown, after winning the hearts of viewers and his fellow campmates alike. Former professional boxer Tony Bellew finished in second place, and has formed a firm friendship with Sam along the way.
And during his exit chat with presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, he claimed he has been certain Sam would win for quite some time. He told Ant and Dec: "Right, I'm not going to lie, I predicted this 10 days ago. We climbed into coffins and I am not joking, I got snakes, Nick [Pickard] got snakes, Nella [Rose] got cockroaches.
"Guess who was up next? Sam. Guess what he got? Frogs. 10 days ago I predicted, the king is here, and I am bang on.
“This is your king of the jungle, no matter what anyone says, your king of the jungle is here and he got frogs." Tony also revealed he has invited Sam over for Christmas dinner, and thinks his grown-up son will be quite the fan of the cheeky reality star. He said: "My son is six foot four [inches] and he could take him but I know he'll be like, 'Dad, can we keep him?' and do you know what, I've never lied to him in my life and I'll tell him, 'Yes you can.'" The new king of the jungle proceeded to ask if the offer was a serious one, with Tony promising: "Of course you can, mate.” Sam reminded him: "This is on telly, you know?"
